The Skinflint is a hysterical comedy set in 1929 in a Coney Island pawn shop owned by Mr. Hapagon - the greediest, nastiest father and employer around. Harpagon's one and only passion is money, and he is willing to marry off his two children, Clay and Elsie, to get even richer! But, the kids have other ideas and they soon plot to marry who they have fallen in love with instead. This hilarious farce has outrageous characters and plot twists from start to finish - the greatest of which is Harpagon himself!
